Sustainable Governance

Intellectual Property Management Program

The Company focuses on the research and application of RFID and IoT technologies, with intellectual property (IP) recognized as a core competitive advantage. To protect and strengthen related rights, the Company has implemented the following measures:

  1. Patent and R&D Outcome Protection
    • Priority is given to conventional RFID tag technologies, combined with new materials to develop diversified applications. Continuous patent applications and strategic layouts cover antenna design, tag structure, and manufacturing processes.
    • Patent applications extend from RFID tags to RFID readers and IoT gateways, based on RFID standard communication protocols, covering algorithms, application software, and edge computing innovations.
    • Building on the ID physical layer and network layer, patent applications further extend to application software, forming complete IoT system solutions.
    • Regular inventory and maintenance of granted patents and trademarks are conducted.
  2. Confidential Information and Technical Protection
    • R&D design files, antenna simulation data, and source code are access-controlled.
    • Implementation of a Zero Trust framework and AI-based zero-latency antivirus software ensures that internal and external personnel access only authorized data, reducing the risk of technology leakage.

  3. Policies and Contractual Measures
    • Established the Intellectual Property Management and Incentive Guidelines to encourage R&D personnel to actively innovate and apply for patents, while ensuring transparency in IP ownership and utilization.
    • All employees and partner companies are required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and IP ownership is clearly defined in all collaboration contracts.
  4. Education and Awareness
    • Conduct annual IP and information security training to strengthen employees’ understanding of patent application processes, trade secret protection, and infringement risks.

  5. External Collaboration and Risk Control
    • Collaborate with patent law firms to maintain a complete RFID/IoT patent map and technology layout.
    • Continuously monitor international IP trends of competitors, particularly in RFID, wireless communication, and IoT standards, to prevent infringement risks and identify new opportunities.
