SBTi approval of Arizon’s near-term science-based targets marks a new sustainability milestone
2026/10/30

Arizon RFID Technology (“Arizon”), a global leader in RFID technology and tag manufacturing, today announced that its near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets were officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in June 2026. The validation confirms that Arizon’s targets are aligned with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement. It also shows the company’s commitment to a science-based decarbonization strategy and to the sustainable competitiveness of the RFID industry.

Arizon commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 63.0% by 2035 from a 2024 base year. To reach this target, the company will continue to advance energy management, process optimization, equipment energy-efficiency upgrades, and the use of renewable energy. These measures will progressively lower GHG emissions across its operations and improve overall operational efficiency and environmental performance.

Beyond its own operations, Arizon is extending sustainability management to its supply chain. The company also commits to reduce the GHG emissions intensity of Scope 3 purchased goods and services by 66.33% per New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) of value added by 2035, from a 2024 base year. Scope 3 emissions span raw material procurement, supplier manufacturing, and other value chain activities, and they are a significant source of the company’s overall emissions. Arizon will continue to work with suppliers and partners on carbon management, sustainable procurement, and joint decarbonization initiatives to build a more resilient, low-carbon supply chain.

The SBTi validation marks an important milestone in Arizon’s sustainability journey and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to science-based decarbonization and sustainable business practices. Looking ahead, Arizon will keep refining its sustainability management in line with international standards and carrying out its emissions reduction measures. It will also deepen collaboration across its supply chain, taking concrete action to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and to create lasting value for global sustainability and the RFID industry.
