ARIZON-KY (6863), a subsidiary of Yongfengyu and the world’s second-largest RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag supplier, was officially listed on the stock exchange today (21st) at NT$83.58 per share. Upon opening, its stock price soared in a honeymoon rally, reaching a high of NT$204 in early trading — a surge of 144% — and later fluctuated around a 126% increase. ARIZON-KY is the ninth company under Yongfengyu to go public. In 2022, it reported a net profit after tax of NT$339 million, a 25.2% year-on-year increase, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$5.18. For the first two months of 2023, its revenue reached NT$376 million, up 16.9% year-on-year.

Founded in 2007, ARIZON-KY had a capital of NT$660 million prior to listing and employed 551 people, with a production base in Taipei, Taiwan. Its core offerings include RFID antenna design and manufacturing, electronic label packaging, reader design and production, and integrated application systems. As of the end of 2022, it had sold over 18.5 billion RFID tags. By the end of 2021, its annual production capacity reached 5 billion tags (1 billion from the Taipei plant). The company aims to achieve an annual output of 10 billion tags by 2025.

With over 20 years of experience in the RFID industry, ARIZON-KY serves more than 800 global clients, including major brands such as Walmart, UNIQLO, ZARA, and SONY. Initially focused on OEM production, the company gradually expanded its product design and R&D capabilities. From 2012 to 2015, the share of ODM products rose steadily. Since 2016, most of its revenue has come from self-designed products, with ongoing innovation in materials and production processes. Currently, it ranks second globally and first in Asia in RFID tag shipments, with a market share exceeding 11%. As of 2021, apparel accounted for 45% of its end-use applications, followed by retail (25%) and logistics (5%). Apparel and large retail sectors still have significant growth potential and will continue to be key drivers of revenue over the next 2–3 years.

ARIZON-KY specializes in passive UHF (ultra-high frequency) RFID tags, which wirelessly transmit chip data and offer advantages such as long-range reading, strong penetration, reusability, oil- and dirt-resistance, and batch reading capability. These features make them suitable for a wide variety of use cases and objects, helping to save labor and scanning time. To increase value, the tags can be customized with graphic printing, chip encoding, and a range of material options. Recently developed RFID tags offer a wide variety of features, such as resistance to extreme temperatures, water, ironing, strong acids, and are made with skin-friendly materials. They can also be embedded into tires, fabrics, paper, and other objects, attracting a diverse range of industry clients.

Benefiting from technological progress and the ongoing standardization of the global RFID industry, ARIZON-KY’s RFID products are increasingly used in retail, transportation, and warehousing. UHF (RAIN) RFID tags will be the main driver of future growth. Looking ahead, industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and contactless payments are expected to accelerate RFID adoption, significantly boosting shipment volume.
